The good news is that Footy Center Face Creator is now ready for its first Alpha release!

What Can You Expect?

The Face Creator is designed to make creating custom player faces for Football Manager 2026 as simple as possible.

You can use a portrait photo to generate a custom 3D player face, preview your creation, choose hairstyles, adjust hair colours, and save your finished player directly into a compatible .footyplayer file.

The core functionality is working well, and the program already does what it was designed to do.

However, I want to be completely transparent about where we currently stand.

A Rough Diamond

I like to think of the Face Creator as a rough diamond.

The foundation is there, the important features are working, and the results are already promising. But there are still areas that need polishing. Some facial textures, especially around the sides of the head, can still be improved. There may also be smaller visual imperfections or unexpected issues that we haven't discovered yet.

This is why I'm calling it an Alpha release rather than a finished product.

We're still in the early stages of development, and I expect the Face Creator to improve significantly with future updates. Rather than keeping it behind closed doors until everything is perfect, I would like to let you experience what we've built so far and help shape its future.

How to Use Your Created Player

Once you've finished creating your player, enter the player's ID and click Save Player.

The Face Creator will save your creation as:

PLAYERID.footyplayer

For example:

123456.footyplayer

Place this file in your Football Manager 2026 FootyFaceServer data folder:

Football Manager 26\BepInEx\plugins\FootyFaceServer\data

Your custom player face will then be available for FootyFaceServer to use in FM26.

Your Feedback Matters

Since this is our first Alpha release, your feedback will be especially valuable.

If you notice something that doesn't look right, encounter a problem, or have suggestions for improvements, please let me know.

I'll continue working on the Face Creator, improving the quality of the generated faces, refining the interface, and making the whole experience smoother.
